Cacuaco – The Public Prosecutor Wilson de Oliveira, on Friday, in Luanda, defended the opening of Asset Recovery Offices for efficient management.
Speaking at a lecture on 'The Legal Regime for Asset Recovery in Angola: Management of Assets and Seizure until the Judicial Decision of Confiscation', organized by the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Kangonjo, he stressed that asset management is not just about their simple recovery.
From the point of view of what has been the practice, he pointed out, the PGR has several institutions that end up being indicated as trustees, to guarantee the management of these assets until a final decision.
For the magistrate, it means that this also depends a lot on the speed and correctness with which these decisions of conviction and final loss or not are obtained.
As for the theme of the lecture, he stressed that this approach is very relevant, especially in academia, because the PGR has, among several attributions, the duty to raise the legal awareness of citizens.
Students and employees of the aforementioned higher education institution participated in the lecture. SEC /ART/DOJ
