Dundo – The city of Dundo, capital of the Angolan eastern Lunda-Norte province will host the central event of the National Hero's Day on September 17.
The event will take place under the motto 'September 17, with Neto's ideals, let's build a strong and dynamic economy' and will be chaired by the Minister of Culture, Filipe Zau.
ANGOP had access to a note from the Ministry of Territorial Administration, which states that the celebrations will take place across the country and at Angolan diplomatic and consular missions as well until the 25th of this month.
Agostinho Neto proclaimed the Independence of Angola on November 11, 1975, thus becoming the first President of Angola.
