Luanda - The trial of the former head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Manuel Hélder Vieira Dias ‘Kopelipa’, begins Tuesday in Luanda, accused of embezzlement, fraud and falsification of documents, among other offences.
According to a note from the Supreme Court (TS), Leopoldino Fragoso do Nascimento, Fernando Gomes dos Santos and the companies China International Found (CIF), Plansmart International Limited and Utter Right International Limited are also defendants in the same case.
The case, in which the defendants are also accused of criminal association, abuse of power, money laundering and influence peddling, has 38 declarants and witnesses.
The judge is Anabela Valente and her deputies Martinho Nunes and Inácio Paixão, while the Public Prosecutor's Office is represented by Lucas Ramos and the defence by Bangula Quemba, Benja Satula and Amaral Gourgel.VIC/AMP
