Luanda - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, congratulated the Ghanaian politician John Dramani Manama, for his election to the position of President of the Republic of Ghana, in the elections held on December 7.
In a message sent to the President-elect, the Angolan Head of State is confident that, during the mandate of John Dramani Manama, Angola and Ghana will make efforts to deepen ties of friendship and cooperation in various fields.
He said that this action aims to make available to the citizens of the two countries important results that meet their desires.
Angola and Ghana signed nine legal instruments in February this year in Luanda, as part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The documents were signed on the sidelines of the Ministerial Session of the Bilateral Commission.
These are the Memorandums of Understanding between the 'Venâncio de Moura' Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola and the 'Kofi Annan' International Training Centre for Peacekeeping of the Republic of Ghana.
Among the memorandums of understanding signed, those in the fields of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Language Proficiency Programs in the area of Education, Export Promotion, Prospection and Exploration of Hydrocarbon Resources, Tourism, Arts and Culture; and exchange in Radio and Television programs.
