Luanda – Angolan President, João Lourenço, on Monday in Luanda Province congratulated his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, on the Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities Day, which is being marked Monday.
João Lourenço extends his congratulations to the Portuguese people and government.
In his congratulatory message, he said that the historical ties that bind the two countries pave the way for a strong cooperation which is developed with common and advantageous benefits between Angola and Portugal, at all levels of the economic sectors, adding that is also creates a fraternal environment within which contacts take place in all areas of Angolan and Portuguese societies.
President Lourenço took the opportunity to express to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa his conviction that, based on the common action of the two governments, bilateral relations will continue to be strengthened in favour of the progress and prosperity of both peoples.
“Your Excellency, please accept my best wishes for good health, personal well-being and success for the Portuguese Nation”, concluded President João Lourenço.
