Rio de Janeiro – President João Lourenço held a meeting on Sunday with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, focused on the bilateral cooperation between both states.
João Lourenço is in Brazil since Sunday, as Lula da Silva's guest to the G20 Summit.
The Angolan president heads a delegation that includes the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, the minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, among other officials.
The meeting between the two heads of State, in addition to addressing issues of bilateral cooperation, was part of the politico-diplomatic environment that surrounds the city of Rio de Janeiro, where, on Monday, Nov 18, the G20 Summit begins, bringing together the group of twenty countries with the strongest economies on the planet.
The Angolan Head of State will participate, until Tuesday, in the different sessions of the summit, where he is expected to speak in at least two of them.
A global alliance against hunger and poverty should be established at this summit, in addition to the fact that the event will debate the energy transition.
President João Lourenço will also fulfill a parallel diplomatic agenda that includes audiences with businesspeople, politicians, diplomats, among others.
