Luanda - The new national First Secretary of the JMPLA (ruling part's youth wing), Justino Capapinha, declared on Monday, in Luanda, that the organization will be more open to society and to build bridges with its youth counterparts, always in favor of the best interests of youth.
Speaking to the press, at the end of an audience with the MPLA President, João Lourenço, he assured unity, cohesion and dialogue within the youth organization and "work with everyone without leaving anyone behind".
He made it known that the next five years will be very challenging in several areas in the public and internal life of the MPLA youth organization.
"That's why we want to immediately roll up our sleeves to materialize the lines of force that we presented to voters during the electoral campaign", he expressed.
He said he had taken advantage of the audience with President João Lourenço, to thank the party management for the commitment and support given to the holding of the IX Ordinary Congress of the JMPLA.
"Our leader's guidance was, basically, to be faithful to what we presented during the campaign and to materialize our programmatic plan, always respecting the organization's statutes and governing documents", he explained.
The audience with the party leader took place on the sidelines of the 7th ordinary session of the MPLA Central Committee, at the Belas Conference Center, in Luanda.
Justinho Capapinha, 29 years old, was elected First National Secretary of the JMPLA with 1,100 votes (61.6%), during the IX Congress of the MPLA youth organization, replacing Crispiniano dos Santos in the position.
JMPLA was founded on Nov 23, 1962, in Leopodiville (now Kinshasa), in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the context of the national liberation struggle.
