Luanda - The solemn opening ceremony of the 3rd legislative session of the V Legislature of the National Assembly, which the main highlight will be the message on the State of the Nation to be addressed by the President of the Republic, has already begun.
After the singing of the anthem of the Republic, the session continues with a welcome message from the National Assembly Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira.
The President of the Republic addresses the message about the State of the Nation from 11:50 am, a time for citizens to learn about the results achieved in the social, economic and financial domains.
For this session, the National Assembly invited the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, religious and military authorities, representatives of civil society and the media.
During the 2nd Legislative Session, 18 laws were approved and published in the Official Gazette, representing an increase of three compared to the 1st Legislative Year.
A total of 6 diplomas are currently being drafted and 7 proposed laws have been approved in general and in specific treatment.
In the same sense, 41 resolutions were approved, 5 more regarding the 2022-2023 parliamentary year.
Within the scope of control and supervision, visits were carried out by the Specialized Working Committees and the Groups of Resident Deputies to verify the level of physical and financial execution of several projects underway in the different municipalities of the country, as part of the programs drawn up by the Executive, with a degree of compliance with planned activities of around 59.4% was assessed.
