Luanda - After the 72-hour visit to Angola by US President Joe Biden to Angola ended on Wednesday, the international press is unanimous in pointing out the advantages for the country, in particular, and in general for the African continent.

This is how the American Associated Press (AP) writes:

'Biden says that 'Africa is the future' by promising millions more on the last day of his visit to Angola.

The news agency said President Joe Biden pledged an additional $600 million on Wednesday for an ambitious multinational rail project in Africa as one of his administration's latest foreign policy measures, and told African leaders that the resource-rich continent of more than 1.4 billion people has been 'left behind for too long'.

'But not anymore,' Biden added. 'Africa is the future.'

Also, the British news agency REUTERS, highlights the multilateral meeting and says that Joe Biden, met with African leaders in the Angolan port of Lobito on Wednesday to advance a plan to extend a railway that could channel essential minerals from Congo and Zambia to the West via Lobito, and contain Chinese influence in the region.

The German website DW reports that at the end of his visit to Angola, Joe Biden announced an increase in US investment for the Lobito Corridor, of another US$600 million.

It is read that the US President ended on Wednesday, in the province of Benguela, the three-day visit to Angola, adding that Joe Biden concluded the working day with a multilateral summit on the Lobito Corridor, which was attended by Angola, DRC, Zambia, Tanzania and the United States of America.

DW says that the US President announced an increase in US investment for the Lobito Corridor, by another US$600 million.

The Voice of America points out that the American President participated at the end of the visit in the summit on the Lobito Corridor with the Presidents of Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and Tanzania

The U.S. president, it says, saw firsthand on Wednesday the largely U.S.-funded rail project that combines his personal 'love' for railways with his desire to leave a legacy in Africa that will outlive his administration.

The Brazilian newspaper, O Globo, points out that Joe Biden gets excited with a typical dance on a visit to Angola.

The Rio de Janeiro daily explains that on the last day of his visit to the African country, on Wednesday, the American President visited the railway terminal of the Port of Lobito, where the US invests billions of dollars.

The American The New York Times makes an aftermath of the three days that President Biden stayed in Angola, highlighting the speech given at the National Museum of Slavery and the multilateral summit on the Lobito corridor.

Radio France International (RFI) points out that Biden announces in Angola one billion dollars in humanitarian aid to Africa.

It said that the US President was in Angola for a three-day official visit and announced new humanitarian aid of US$1 billion to help those displaced due to extreme droughts on the continent.

The Portuguese news agency, LUSA, writes that Biden wants to return to Angola to walk the Lobito Corridor.

'US President Joe Biden said today that he wants to return to Angola to take a train trip on the Lobito Corridor'.

Portugal's Jornal de Negócios reports that Biden's visit gives Angola credibility as an 'investment destination'.

He explains that the statement is from the CEO of Mota-Engil, Manuel Mota, who points to the Lobito Corridor as 'an infrastructure that will have the greatest dynamism in promoting pan-African trade and opening new trade routes'.

Euronews reports that Joe Biden visited Angola to promote a new rail project, noting that it was the first trip by an American president to Angola and aimed to highlight a 2.8-billion-euro rail project, supported by the US.

The largest newspaper in circulation in Spain, El País, reports that Biden is promoting a railway project to rival China in Africa on his last trip abroad.

The US president announced an investment of US$600 million for the development of the corridor that will connect the port of Lobito, in Angola, to the mines in Zambia and the Democratic Congo. VIC/DOJ
