Andulo – The General Inspectorate of the State (IGAE) in Bié Province on Thursday in the municipality of Andulo, 130 km north of the capital city of Cuito, reinforced the need to continue to humanize the services provided to citizens.
The appeal was expressed by the provincial delegate of IGAE in Bié, Adilson Mariano Inácio João, at the end of the lecture addressed to managers and public employees of Andulo, on ethics and professional deontology in Public Administration.
The action, which takes place at the level of the 9 municipalities in the province of Bié, aims to safeguard the good image of the State among local authorities, highlighting that compliance with the assumptions of the basic law of public service covers any employee, mainly those who hold management and leadership positions.
He said that the event also aimed to provide knowledge about ethics in the management of public affairs and reinforce knowledge about current legislation, related to financial asset management and human resources in the public service.
Adilson Mariano Inácio João also called for the need for employees to effectively deeply understand the legislation on ethics and deontology, as his office receives close to 45 calls daily from users complaining about poor service in the various State institutions.
He considered the number of complaints to be quite high, as complaints come from all municipalities in the province, thus forcing its team to deploy in these locations to assess the veracity of the complaints.
For his part, the municipal administrator of Andulo, Justino Kassoma Covi, said that the event was very useful for the pursuit of public interest.
Justino Covi highlighted that the aim ultimately ends up being common, embodied in reducing bureaucracy in institutions as well as continuing to work to humanize services, especially in health units, where numerous complaints are registered.
On the occasion, speaker Ernesto Domingo António, chief inspector of IGAE in Bié, reaffirmed the need for public managers to be well aware of the basic law of the public service to avoid abuses.
Finally, he considered ethics to be synonymous with character that carries a set of values guiding healthy coexistence, based on moral principles.
The event has already taken place in eight municipalities, with Cuito missing.
