The official provided the information during the meeting he had with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, on the sidelines of the 9th China-Africa Cooperation Conference (FOCAC-9), where he represented the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
During the meeting, the General Director of Huawei in the Portuguese-speaking countries of Southern Africa listed to Minister Téte António the various projects underway by the company in Angola, which range from the discovery and training of new talent, digital acceleration and the implementation of technological solutions with social impact throughout the country.
According to the Huawei official, the digital solutions package includes digital infrastructure, renewable energy and low-income digital phones.
He reported that this package of digital solutions aims to stimulate the informal market and its integration into the formal market, thereby facilitating economic transactions for local populations, especially the most vulnerable.
Hou Qiang explained to the Angolan head of diplomacy that the success of this ambitious project must be led by the Angolan government, so that Angolan telecommunications operators can conveniently bring their services to areas without coverage.
