Luanda – The Portuguese government will continue to give privilege to top level political dialogue and boost economic relations with the Angolan authorities, said Friday, in Luanda, the ambassador of Portugal in Angola, Francisco Alegre Duarte.
The diplomat was speaking to the press at the ceremony of new year greetings to the Head of State, João Lourenço, having acknowledged the current good moment in the co-operation relations between the two counties.

Francisco Duarte highlighted the relevant role of Portuguese citizens firms based in Angola, which roughly 1,250 companies (some are mixed stock company) that create many jobs.
The co-operation relations between Angola and Portugal have been strengthened in the past few years, covering several strategic areas.
In July 2024, Angola and Portugal strengthened their ties with the signing of 12 new co-operation agreements in different areas.
