Saurimo - The Government of Lunda-Sul regretted, today (Friday) the death of the president of the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE), Justino da Costa Africano, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, in Luanda, due to illness.
According to a note from the Lunda-Sul Provincial Government sent to ANGOP, the deceased was a remarkable personality and outstanding figure in society, of a deeply social and human nature.
He highlights qualities such as that of a man dedicated to work, who marked with distinction great stages in the recent history of the country and the province, in particular, which allowed him to gain prestige, respect and admiration.
The document considers the deceased as 'an irreverent, convinced and coherent person in his ideals, also standing out in the intricacies of the political, cultural, sporting and other areas of life'.
He mentions that in addition to being president of the CPE of Lunda-Sul, Justino Africano held positions with rigor and wisdom in several public institutions, with emphasis on that of provincial delegate of Commerce, municipal administrator of Saurimo, secretary-general of the Government, among others.
With his premature departure, the note says, the late leaves a huge legacy for current and future generations, and opens a void that is difficult to fill, due to his unique character. JW/VIC/DOJ
