Dundo- The governor of Lunda-Norte, Deolinda Satula Vilarinho, called on for exemplary and patriotic posture of managers, aiming to preserve the reputation of public institutions.
The governor made this appeal on Wednesday during the seminar on 'Ethics and Deontology in Public Administration', promoted by the Inspectorate of the General Administration of the State (IGAE), stressing that the trust of citizens in State institutions depends to a large extent on the posture of civil servants and the quality of services.
She recommended swift responses in public institutions, especially in municipal administrations, avoiding constraints on users due to bureaucratic excesses.
'As public servants, we all have the duty to observe with rigor and coherence the rules that govern our society, living up to the oath of honour that we are subjected to when we take office, for the common good', he stressed.
She recalled that ethics and deontology is a set of duties, principles and standards that professionals must adopt for a quality and efficient service.
'This seminar leads us to a deep reflection with regard to our conduct as professionals, which will reflect on the well-being of the population', he said.
On the other hand, he encouraged the population to denounce possible transgressions in the public administration, with a view to holding civil servants accountable. JVL/HD/DOJ
