Cabinda - The provincial governor of Cabinda, Suzana de Abreu, on Tuesday in this city reaffirmed that more social impact projects will be implemented in the region, to continue honouring the slogan of the first President of Angola, which says “The most important thing is to solve people’s problems”.
Speaking at the political event celebrating September 17th, National Heroes Day, she said that only with hard work the Angolans will continue to pay a well-deserved tribute to the greatest poet and founder of the Angolan nation.
The governor said that more schools, hospitals, roads, drinking water distribution systems, electrical centers, among other investments, will continue to be implemented in the region to gradually improve the living conditions of the populations.
“It is with Neto’s teachings that the country continues to follow the path of development under the wise leadership of President João Lourenço”, she highlighted.
Before the event, Suzana de Abreu laid a wreath of flowers on the bust of António Agostinho Neto, as well as inaugurated a photographic exhibition portraying the life and work of the first Head of State of Angola.
National Hero’s Day commemorated in Pointe Noire
The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola to the Republic of Congo, Vicente Muanda, stated, in the city of Ponta Negra, Congo, that bilateral relations between the two countries remain active, fulfilling the ideals of António Agostinho Neto.
Speaking to the press, after laying a wreath at Doctor António Agostinho Neto square, in Ponta Negra, the diploma praised the figure of the first President of Angola in the armed struggle for liberation.
He also spoke of the role played by Neto in the independence of some Southern African countries.
“The figure of Agostinho Neto continues to be prestigious and honoured not only in Angola, but also in the rest of Africa and the world”, highlighted the ambassador.
