Luau – The Governor of the province of Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, appealed to the administrative authorities of the municipality of Luau, to be more effective in combating the crimes of human trafficking and fuel smuggling in that border region.
The governor who spoke at the presentation of the new municipal administrator, Ester Vumbi Celestino, replacing Filomena Miza, recommended to the new municipal manager greater collaboration and support for the National Police to combat “these identified evils” that harm the population.
Ernesto Muangala also defended greater commitment to solving social problems that affect the population, mainly the lack of electricity and drinking water in residents' homes.
He called on the new administrator to permanently monitor the construction work of the Luau Photovoltaic Plant, an energy project with a capacity of 32 Megawatts, which is expected to benefit thousands of people.
On the other hand, Muangala called for participatory management, with the inclusion of communities in the management of the municipality's issues, improvement of the town's image, care with sanitation and maintenance of buildings and other public assets.
Until then, Ester Vumbi Celestino held the position of director of the Provincial Office for Social Action, Family, Promotion and Gender Equality.
