Cazombo - The governor of Moxico Leste, Crispiniano dos Santos, said Tuesday in the municipality of Cazombo, the provincial capital, that his government will prioritize the improvement of socio-economic infrastructure, with a greater emphasis on roads, education and health, with a view to developing the region.
The governor made the statement to the press during a field visit to the municipality of Cazombo, where he reviewed the current state of infrastructure and stressed that the government will also pay special attention to the agricultural sector.
During the meeting with officials from different sectors of the local public administration, the governor demanded the responsibility of the officials in carrying out their duties in order to better implement public policies.
This is the second field trip made by the Governor of Moxico Leste since his appointment, the first being in the municipality of Luau, where he learned about the socio-economic conditions of the region.
Moxico Leste has an estimated population of over 300,000 inhabitants and is bordered to the north by the province of Lunda Sul, to the west and south by Moxico and to the east by the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. MT/TC/HD/AMP
