Luanda - The Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), aviation general Altino dos Santos, instructed, on Thursday, the military leaders to continue improving the methods of planning, organizing and managing the corporation's staff, in order to maximize the available resources.
When speaking at the end-of-year greeting ceremony, he said that good management of materials and financial resources must also be carried out, through a clear and objective definition of priorities.
On the other hand, the military leader stated that the systematization of control of equipment and material resources, including weapons and ammunition, the discouragement of the presence of uniformed soldiers on the streets, often without plausible reason, must also deserve permanent attention from commanders and chiefs. military at all levels.
He stressed that, in 2025, the preparation of the FAA will continue to deserve attention, through the training and training of troops and major states, at all levels of its organization.
According to the general, attention will also be paid to the training of staff, inside and outside the country, in order to equip the corporation with the operational capabilities necessary to prevent conflicts or confront them with the use of proportional means.
“Therefore, we are all called to follow a coefficient of military organization that strictly respects the regulatory requirements rooted in discipline, hierarchy and single command, with the practice of acts that dignify the uniform and the oath of honor”, he said. .
Altino dos Santos said that the reserved mission of the Angolan Armed Forces, at this stage, is fundamentally based on guaranteeing national sovereignty, territorial integrity and contributing to tasks of public interest, for the benefit of the populations, in addition to their availability to participate in exercises joint and combined bilaterally or multilaterally, as well as in support operations.
Among the various achievements of 2024, he highlighted the inauguration of some physical structures, including the Main Military Hospital and the beginning of the rehabilitation and equipping of the Higher Institute.
Equally noteworthy, throughout the year, was the emergence of new Military Regions, within the scope of the new Administrative Policy Division, which, as they are recently configured, will have greater monitoring, primacy and attention from higher structures.
“Whether in these or other regions of the Army, National Air Force and Navy, men, infrastructure and military technique were our main priorities” he highlighted.
Furthermore, according to the chief of staff of the FAA, an attempt was made to update the different diplomas that regulate the activities of the troops in all their aspects, to adapt them to the current development of the Armed Forces.
Altino dos Santos also highlighted the holding of Education and Patriotic Exaltation Days, which contributed significantly to the reduction of non-urban practices committed by some personnel.ART/DOJ
