Luanda - The president of the Ngana Zenza Foundation, Ana Dias Lourenço, said on Saturday in Luanda that the institution's identity is based on valuing communities and believes in changing their standard of living.
According to Ana Dias Lourenço, First Lady of the Republic of Angola, who was speaking at the ceremony of the 2nd gala of the foundation, the institution has been committed to promoting well-being in communities in a sustainable and differentiated way, through the financing and implementation of concrete actions adapted to reality, the challenges of the time, the needs of communities, particularly those in rural areas.
She said that the foundation's intervention is based on the vision, mission, values and a logic of complementarity, expressed in a guiding document and that its strategic plan covers important areas such as integrated and sustainable community development, health, education, environment, citizenship and research and research in the areas of economy and development.
Ana Dias Lourenço highlighted that the institution has made interventions on a transformed stage, whose premises are aligned with the strategic policies of the Angolan Government and the global objectives of sustainable development.
'Transforming the social fabric through programs that promote knowledge, inclusion and guarantee access to health and education, is essential for our action,' she said.
She stressed that the meaning of transformation that the organization aims for, goes beyond a dream, it is a tangible reality.
Ngana Zenza currently operates in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Huíla, Cunene and Moxico, both in urban and rural contexts.
'Our goal is to empower communities so that they can become self-sustaining, transform lives and value even our elders,' she stressed.
The event, held annually, has as its main objective to raise funds for the continuity and expansion of other initiatives so that more seniors, young people and communities have access to resources and transformative opportunities.
