Luanda- The commander of the Angolan Navy (MGA), General Jorge Manuel dos Santos "Sukissa", died Sunday in Luanda victim of an illness, ANGOP has learnt from a source of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
Jorge Manuel dos Santos "Sukissa" was born in the north-eastern Lunda Norte Province, on June 9, 1961.
Military Career
General Sukissa graduated from the Huambo Military Officers School and at the Battlefield Strategy High School at China National Defence Academy.
He attended the Higher Military Directorate and Staff course at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, where he got a degree on Political Science.
In Angola, the general attended several other courses such as Leadership, Army Command, Strategy and Operative Art and Army Command, he could speak Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Russian.
The general held the positions of Commander of the Operational Command (COP) of Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul provinces, Commander of the 1st Region of the Angolan Border Guard Troops (TGFA) and delegate and commander of the National Police in the Province of Huambo.
