Huambo – The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) continue to be engaged in the operational, combative, and educational-patriotic preparation of troops for the defense of the Nation, with the Command and General Staff Training being held in the Central Military Region.
The military activity took place from 28 to 31 May, under the command of the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Dinis Segunda Lucama, representing the commander of the branch, General João Serafim Kitekulo.
With a total of 500 officers mobilized, the training was attended by all the Organs and Directorates of the Units and Sub-Units of the Central Military Region (RMC), including members of the Ministry of the Interior of the provinces of Huambo, Benguela, Bié and Cuanza-Sul.
These are the personnel of the National Police and the Criminal Investigation (SIC), Migration and Foreigners (SME), Penitentiary (SP) and Civil Protection and Fire Services (SPCB).
The event, witnessed by the commander of the MRC, Lieutenant General Simão Carlitos 'Wala', served to increase the capacity for military intervention in all aspects and, at the same time, improve the cooperation of the Defense and Security agencies.
The training also aimed to prepare the forces in the framework of joint actions to combat crime, help the population in case of accidents and natural calamities, among other actions, in favor of the common welfare.
Officers from the Eastern (Moxico, Lunda-Norte and Lunda-Sul) and Southwest (Cuando Cubango) military regions also participated.
In addition to these three, the other Military Regions of Angola are the North, South and Luanda. ALH/DOJ
