Luanda - The United States of America on Wednesday in Luanda reaffirmed its continued support for Angola's development and progress.
The support was expressed by the US ambassador to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi, during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, which served to address issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The meeting also discussed the US investment in the Lobito Corridor, with a view to boosting trade, industry and other sectors in and around neighboring countries.
During the meeting, the two diplomats analyzed aspects linked to regional and multilateral agenda, namely the situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the political crisis in South Sudan, as well as the arrival in Angola this month of a delegation of US Congress Senators for official contacts with local authorities.
The objectives of the US foreign policy in Angola have been, among others, to promote and strengthen democratic institutions, promote economic prosperity, improve health and consolidate peace and security.MCN/TED/AMP
