Luanda - Angolan ambassador to the Central African Republic (CAR) Vicente Muanda presented Friday in Bangui the Letters of Credentials to the President of that country, Faustin Touadéra.
Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs states, in a note, that the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to CAR has non-resident status.
During the presentation ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace of Bangui city, the Angolan diplomat expressed his readiness to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
President Faustin Touadéra stated that the accreditation of the Angolan ambassador reflects the will of the two countries to work on consolidation of bilateral relations and in favour of strengthening the fraternity that unites their respective peoples.
In the presence of the new ambassador, the CAR President expressed satisfaction with the support he has received from Angola, especially from his counterpart João Lourenço.
In his speech, Faustin Touadéra requested the advocacy of Ambassador Vicente Muanda, with Angolan businessmen in order to invest in CAR.
Angola, like CAR, bases its foreign policy on the principles of multilateralism, national independence, equality between States, respect for human rights and a commitment to peace and security.
In addition to CAR, Ambassador Vicente Muanda is also Head of the Diplomatic Mission of Angola in the Republic of Congo, with permanent residence in Brazzaville.
