Ondjiva – MPLA's vice president Luísa Damião has been in the southern province of Cunene to present her party´s guidelines and address a mass political rally, as part of election campaign.
The party’s activities held in Cuanhama municipality on Tuesday were preceded by a march along the main streets of the province’s capital, Ondjiva.
Luísa Damião told the press that the visit was meant to mobilise the population to take part in the process.
The politician also said that the objective was to assessing the mobilising and organisational capacity of her party in that province.
Luísa Damião also appealed to the militants and sympathizers of the ruling MPLA party’s women and youth wings (OMA) and (JMPLA) respectively, as well as friends and supporters of the MPLA for mobilisation of the local voters.

During her stay in Cunene, the vice president will meet with the electoral campaign coordination structure, with members of civil society and visit some social enterprises.
