Luanda – Malanje Province has unlimited agricultural potential and conditions to develop family farming, said on Monday the UNITA leader, Adalberto Costa Júnior.
Speaking at a rally in the scope of the electoral campaign, Adalberto Costa Júnior said that this north-central Province has agricultural products which differ from the others, such is the case of cassava, emphasising that it is one of the country’s main producers of this product.
“Malanje has a lot of wealth, like the diamond in the subsoil. It is a rich land, with strong people and that has it all to win”, said the candidate for President of the Republic, to whom the young people of Malanje are showing that they are determined not to “let the future slip away”, but to grab with two hands the opportunities of their province.
As he had already done in the provinces of Luanda, Bié and Huambo, Adalberto Costa Júnior told supporters in Malanje about his party´governance programme.
In its electoral manifesto, UNITA promises to reform the state and improve the education and health system, as well as the access to housing and employment, the promotion of market economy, eradicating regional asymmetries and facilitating low-interest loans.
UNITA won 51 deputies in the 2017 general elections.
Eight political forces are competing to win the votes of over 14.3 million voters, of which 22,560 reside abroad and are voting for the first time in the fifth elections in Angola´s history, since 1992.
