Luanda – The President of the National Electoral Commission (CNE) Manuel Pereira da Silva exercised his right to vote on Wednesday morning at the polling station 1033, in Nova Vida, Kilamba Kiaxi municipality in Luanda.
He said he had exercised his right to citizenship in a peaceful, orderly, transparent manner and without any embarrassment.
He confirmed that voting in all polling stations, in the country and abroad, is underway in a "quiet and smooth way".
As for occasional delays, reported in some polling stations, the CNE leader said that none of this will disrupt the success of the vote.
Today's general elections, which for the first time have the participation of Angolans abroad, are the fifth in Angola's history, after those in 1992, 2008, 2012 and 2017.
