Mbanza Kongo – The political parties vying for the general elections of the 24 August deployed on Wednesday in the coastal municipalities and in the border areas of the province of Zaire, with the aim of convincing voters to these localities.
MPLA
The structure of coordination of the MPLA electoral campaign in Zaire has planned for this Wednesday in the municipality of Nzeto, a march in support of the candidacy of its president for the election this month.
Participating in the march, promoted by the party’s women wing (OMA), activists, sympathizers and friends of the party.
UNITA
In turn, UNITA has been carrying out, since Tuesday, in the municipality of Tomboco (coastal area) a door-to-door campaign aimed at convincing the electorate to vote for this political formation.
After crossing the communes of Kinsimba and Kinzau (Tomboco), the UNITA militants made a stopover Wednesday in the commune of Mangue Grande, municipality of Soyo.
FNLA
The provincial secretary of the FNLA in Zaire, António Nginamau, has been working since Tuesday in the municipality of Soyo, after having organised a political rally in the commune of Mangue Grande.
Wednesday, the structure of the electoral campaign of the "party of brothers" plans to hold a rally at the municipal headquarters of Soyo.
CASA-CE
This coalition of political parties has been "chasing" votes in the border town of Nóqui since Tuesday, after having organized a meeting in the village of Nkoko, town of Luvo.
The delegation of the CASA-CE electoral campaign coordination structure in Nóqui is led by the candidate for MP to the National Assembly, Makuta Nkondo.
The province of Zaire has 312,781 registered voters, 259 polling stations and 566 polling tables.
The MPLA, UNITA, PRS, FNLA, APN, P-NJANGO, PHA and CASA-CE coalition are running for this year's election.
At least 14.3 million voters have the right to vote, including 22, 560 residing abroad.
