Ondjiva – MPLA's vice-president Luísa Damião Tuesday said her party proposes to promote balanced development of Angola and human capital, coupled with increased access to health and education services.
The politician made the pledge during a political event held in Ondjiva, southern Cunene province, during which she stressed MPLA's governance programme for 2022 to 2027.
She said that should the party wins the elections it will focus on human capital, as the country's main asset, rather than the natural resources.
She highlighted the role of Angolans in socio-economic transformations.
According to her, MPLA proposes to reduce social inequalities, eradicate hunger and extreme poverty, as well as promote gender equality.
She also pointed to a balanced and harmonious development of the country, the de-centralisation of the public administration and the municipal policy and implementation of the local elections as top priorities.
The politician highlighted the modernisation of the country's infrastructure, the preservation of the environment, diversification of a sustainable and inclusive economy.
Luísa Damião has been in Cunene province since Monday to present its party's guidelines in the region, among other political activities.
