Luena - The first provincial secretary of the MPLA party in the eastern Moxico Province, Gonçalves Muandumba, reaffirmed in Luena City that his party will continue working to promote quality of life among the population.
Speaking at a crowded event, the politician reiterated that the ruling party in Angola will intensify its work, with the aim to meet the expectations of the population.
Gonçalves Muandumba pointed out, among the priorities , the improvement of road links in the next five years.
The politician added that the party’s plan includes the extension of the school and hospital networks, construction of new houses and improvement of electric power supply and drinking water.
To materialize these objectives, the politician affirmed that the MPLA will adopt an effective, inclusive and participative governance, counting on the knowledge of different ranges of the civil society.
The politician appealed to the population to maintain peace, social stability, and avoid disinformation and public disorder.
The final results released by the National Electoral Commission (CNE) indicate that the MPLA won the elections with 51.17 percent of the votes, resulting in the reelection of its candidate, João Lourenço, reaching 124 seats in the National Assembly (AN).
UNITA reached 43.95 percent of the vote (90 deputies), PRS 1.14 percent (two parliamentary seats), FNLA 1.06 percent (two deputies) and PHA 1.02 percent (two deputies).
CASA-CE with 0.76 percent of the votes, APN 0.48 percent and P-NJANGO 0.42 percent did not obtain any parliamentary seat.
