Caimbambo - The MPLA's first provincial secretary in Benguela Luís Nunes appealed this Wednesday to the people in the municipality of Caimbambo to vote for his party for a "huge victory" in the general elections of 24August.
According to Luís Nunes, who was speaking at a rally as part of the campaign, the victory in the elections will represent the continuity of
sustainable development and the guarantee of a better future for the country.
The politician reiterated the need to increase direct and permanent contact with citizens, through door-to-door mobilization, in order to achieve the
desired objective.
"We will continue to present our governance program for the next five years (2022/2027) and show real work", he stressed.
He called to attention the fact that many make promises, but are unable to show the work, whereas MPLA has projects that are already being executed,
well underway, and others that are to start, both in the economic and social sectors.
Luís Nunes made it known that MPLA is aware that work is executed in phases, that is why “betting on the alternative would be to go back to square one”.
He reminded that the country, at this time, is economically stable and it was possible to bring the services of healthcare, education, and legal
services among others, to families, through a set of interventions focused on the 164 municipalities of Angola.
“The quality of life of the population has improved as a result of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM)", he emphasized.
According to the Provincial Electoral Commission, 980 polling stations were installed in the province of Benguela, to serve 1, 201, 192 registered
voters, who will vote at 2,117 voting tables.
