Luanda - MPLA leads with 60.65% of the votes counted, according to provisional figures released early Thursday morning by the National Electoral Commission (CNE).
With 33.16 percent of the ballots counted, MPLA has one million 219,571 valid votes, according to the CNE, which corresponds to 60.65%.
According to the provisional results, UNITA comes second with 33.85%, corresponding to 680,745 votes
PRS appears in third place with 1.45% of 29,256 votes.
The FNLA, with 1.28%, was at the time of the announcement, the fourth most voted party with 25,817 votes.
The data shows that the PHA is in fifth place with 1.05% of 21,130 votes.
The CASA-CE electoral coalition appears as the sixth most voted party with 0.70% (14,255 votes).
APN appears with 0.51% of 10.401 votes, while P-NJANGO, in eighth position with 0.48% of 9.656 votes.
However, roughly 14.3 million voters were registered for the election, of which 22,560 abroad.
