Luanda - The National Electoral Commission (CNE) said Friday in Luanda that for the general elections on 24 August, at least 13,238 polling stations, made up of 26,488 polling tables, would be available.
According to the spokesman for the organisation, Lucas Quilundo, of this number 13,212 polling stations, 26,443 voting tables will operate in the country, and abroad 26 polling stations and 45 polling tables.
He explained that 13.3 million voters will vote in these polling stations in Angola and 22,560 in the diaspora, which will make up the 14.3 million voters listed in the computer file of the voting age citizens.
"To work in these polling stations and tables it is expected that 105,950 members will be recruited," he stressed.
At its tenth extraordinary plenary meeting, the CNE approved the definitive mapping, the number of Electoral Rolls and number of polling stations and tables.
