Luanda - The political forces contesting the general elections of 24th August, in the 17th day (Tuesday) of the campaign focused their attention on rallies and “vote-hunting” actions.
PHA
In Lunda Sul, the presidential candidate Florbela Malaquias of the Humanist Party of Angola (PHA) reiterated that she will give priority to free access to education and health.
On the other hand, militants of the Humanist party interacted with the voters in the city of Sumbe, Cuanza Sul, and Caxito, Bengo Province, distributing propaganda material.
P-NJANGO
The President of the Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola (P-NJANGO), Eduardo Chingunji, promised to give more dynamism to the Cross Border Conservation Project of Okavango/Zambezi (ATFC/KAZA), which integrates Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana.
The project aims, above all, at the conservation of the environment, fauna and natural resources and the development of tourism in the region shared by the five Southern African member-states.
UNITA
The head of UNITA´s list, Adalberto Costa Júnior, reiterated, in Cuango Municipality of Lunda Norte Pprovince, the alteration of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola and the implementation of local elections, if he wins the upcoming polls.
FNLA
The FNLA party held a mass political event in Huambo Province, in which its first secretary, José Ukuassapi, pointed out the construction of fertiliser industries in all provinces, in case of winning the general elections.
APN
The National Patriotic Alliance (APN) party in its ten minutes of airtime on Angola National Radio (RNA) station, defended a greater valorization of former combatants and war veterans, as well as the widows and orphans of this segment of society.
CASA-CE
The Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola - Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE) promises to work for the economic development of the southern region of the country in the next five years.
The intention was expressed, in Lubango Municipality, Huíla Province, by the leader of the coalition and candidate for President of the Republic, Manuel Fernandes, who also pointed out agriculture and tourism as the sectors that can boost the State General Budget (OGE).
PRS
The leader of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), Benedito Daniel, in the scope of the 24th August elections, promised in the province of Lunda Norte to put the tourism sector on the top of the strategies of the national economy diversification by creating policies to attract national and foreign investments, without bureaucracy.
MPLA
The MPLA candidate for President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will speak in Malanje about the programmes and projects implemented from 2017 to 2022, in the framework of the general elections on 24th August.
In the province of Huambo, the academic community was informed about MPLA´s electoral manifesto and governance programme for the 2022-2027 period, during a meeting that also served to present the candidate for Vice President of the Republic, Esperança Maria da Costa.
