Luanda - Members of the Angolan Community in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) highlighted Tuesday the commitment of President João Lourenço to creating conditions for the exercise of voting in the diaspora, set for 24 August.
There are 1,644 Angolan voters registered in the DRC. Of this number, 1,090 in the capital, Kinshasa and the others in the provinces of Matadi (388) and Lumbumbashi (166).
The National Electoral Commission (CNE) is training 12 members of the Polling Station, as part of the ongoing preparations
The secretary general of the Angolan Community in the DRC, Pedro Lucobico, said the commitment of the Head of State is crucial to guaranteeing Angolans residing abroad the right to exercise their duty of citizenship.
The candidates for the general elections of 24 August are MPLA, UNITA, PRS, FNLA, PHA, APN, P-NJANGO and the CASA-CE party coalition.
