Pointe Noire - Angolans residing in Pointe Noire and Niari, Republic of the Congo, began voting in the early hours of this Wednesday to elect the President of the Republic of Angola, the Vice-President and the 220 MPs to the National Assembly.
Citizens, who are exercising this right for the first time, expressed satisfaction with the orderly way in which the process is running.
Voter Manuel Rezende de Assunção said he was happy with the process which, according to him, boosts the feeling of Angolans.
In turn, António Tumba said that participating in Angola's fifth elections is an opportunity to serve the Fatherland.
For the former president of the Angolan community in Pointe Noire, José António Barros, the Angolans in this city expressed satisfaction shortly after the announcement of the vote in the diaspora.
There are 1,815 Angolan citizens registered in Pointe Noire and Niari has 270 voters.
