Luanda - The National Electoral Commission said Wednesday that the electoral process is running smoothly countrywide.
The National Electoral Commission (CNE) Spkoesman, Lucas Quilundo, said on Wednesday that the process is running smoothly and that all polling stations are operational, with voting taking place “with the necessary celerity and no incidents of any kind being registered”.
For the general elections 14.3 million voters were registered, 22.560 of them abroad, spread over 25 cities in 12 countries in Africa, Europe and South America.
Running for the elections are the MPLA, UNITA, PRS, FNLA, APN, PHA and P-NJANGO and the CASA-CE coalition.
Angola is holding its fifth general elections.
