Talatona - The bishop of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World (The Tocoistas), Dom Afonso Nunes, on Sunday in Luanda, advised the leaders of all political parties to create a joint agenda, which should be centered on love and the sharing of ideas.
The bishop, wo was speaking at the service celebrating the 75% anniversary of the first arrest of Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco, celebrated on the 22nd of this month (1949), said that the intention must be expressed by politicians from all backgrounds in the country, in order to allow the creation of a program lasting 50 or 100 years of government.
"It is not a mandate that can bring cleavages and clubs that fight each other. We are all Angolans and we must be united", he reinforced.
After 75 years, since Simão Toco's first arrest, the leader of the Tocoista Church considers a positive assessment, adding that October 22nd is a historic moment.
Therefore, Dom Afonso Nunes said that it is important to know the history of the country, the sacrifice for the liberation of the Nation.
In turn, the president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, said that it is necessary to improve dialogue and social conditions and in this case the church has an important role in mediating this insufficiency.
