Luanda - Angola's ambassador to China, João Neto, highlighted on Wednesday the country's strategic positioning aimed at transforming it into a logistical point for the production and distribution of medicines in Africa.
The diplomat made these references after a visit to the Chinese company CDMO Pharmaceutical, as part of strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
On the occasion, he highlighted the quick development of the pharmaceutical industry in China, adding that, for this reason, Angola hopes to learn from good experiences to develop and improve its pharmaceutical production capacity.
“We intend, through CDMO Pharmaceutical, to also attract other companies in the health sector with complementary services,” he said.
In turn, the CEO of CDMO Pharmaceutical, Lou Jinfang, expressed his gratitude to the ambassador, providing detailed technical explanations about the functioning of the business structure he manages, the research capacity and the experience of cooperation in international projects.
João Salvador Neto found out more about this company's products, which were certified by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), of the United States of America, and Permanent Structured Cooperation (CEP), of the European Union.
Among the certified pharmaceutical products, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, antibiotics, psychotropic drugs, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates stand out.
The Zheijiang CDMO Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd, is located in the Jinhua Technological and Development Zone, province of Zheijiang, West China, with its portfolio encompassing research services and the discovery of new drugs, third-party testing, among others.
It is a prestigious regional and global institution with services provided in many European Union (EU) countries and the United States of America (USA), with strong interests in operating in Angola.
