Brazzaville - The governing MPLA Politiburo secretary for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, Monday in Brazzaville was received in an audience by the secretary general of the Congolese Labour Party (PCT), Pierre Mousse.
The two delegations reviewed the historical relations existing between the two parties, outlined strategies for continued deepening, as well as analyzed the political situation on the African continent and in the world.
On the occasion, Manuel Augusto transmitted to Pierre Moussa messages addressed by the MPLA Vice-President, Luísa Damião, as well as by the MPLA Secretary General, Paulo Pombolo.
Also on Monday, a second meeting was held between the MPLA representative and the PCT's permanent secretary of Human Resources and Foreign Relations, Ndinga Arnaud, in which both delegations discussed issues that concern border communities.
According to Manuel Augusto, the inclusion of party leaders from neighbouring Congo provinces in the delegation was precisely to stimulate exchanges between the “comrades” who live the daily lives of the populations.
The MPLA delegation includes the director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Maquento Lopes, the second secretary of the Provincial Committee (CP) in Cabinda, José do Carmo, the second secretary of the party in Uíge Province, Gertrudes Gastão, the second secretary in Zaire, Garcia Vieira, the head of the Mass Organization Department Division (DOM), Julião Teixeira and Neusa Viande.
