Luanda – A proposal revising Angolan National Bank (BNA) Law was analysed on Monday at the Cabinet Council’s Ordinary Session, chaired by the President, João Lourenço.
The Draft Law, to be sent to the Parliament, proposes the strengthening of its powers of financial regulation and monitoring over financial and non-financial institutions.
The Law ensures its independence and autonomy, as part of the role of conducting and executing monetary, financial policies and foreign exchange, said the statement released at the end of the 12th Ordinary Session.
The Draft Revision Law also ensures the dissemination of information and transparency, in accordance with international good practices.
The document guarantees the continuity of preservation of the value of the national currency and the stability and robustness of the financial system.
The session also analysed the proposed law to amend the Law on Environmental Conservation Areas.
In the sectors of energy and water, the auxiliary body of the President of the Republic, approved the Legal Regime for the Water Collection Rate for the Water Domain.
