Luanda - The 8th Extraordinary Congress of the ruling MPLA approved Tuesday in Luanda adjustments to the party's statutes to adapt them to the country's new political and administrative division.
The decision is part of the final conclusions of the Congress, which were read by the Secretary of the Political Bureau for International Relations of the party, Manuel Augusto, during the closing ceremony of the conclave.
The adjustments, according to the conclusions, will provide a better clarification of the competencies and mandates of the intermediate bodies and ensure the possibility of the removal of individuals.
Manuel Augusto said that they will also restore important provisions regarding the competencies of national bodies and organizations, which, once eliminated, had created gaps that conditioned the correct and harmonious interpretation of the party's statutes.
According to the party secretary, improvements will be made to the form in order to harmonize the different provisions so that the statutes are appropriate and systematically balanced.VIC/TED/AMP
