Luanda - National and foreign specialists will address next Friday in Luanda topics related to the Constitutional Court.
The participants will focus on aspects ranging from the reasons that dictated its institutionalisation to the guarantee mechanisms of the Constitution of the Republic.
This will be during a magna conference, ahead of the 15 years of the institutionalisation of the Constitutional Court on June 17.
Full professors Luzia Sebastião (Angola) and Rui Medeiros (Portugal) will be among the participants.
ANGOP learnt that the Constitutional Court will carry out on 15-30 June various actions to promote public debate around its institutional scope, as guardian of the Constitution of the Republic and to contribute to raising citizens' knowledge of legal and constitutional matters.
The Constitutional Court comprises 11 Counselor Judges. Four appointed by the President of the Republic, other four elected by the National Assembly.
Two elected by the Superior Council of the Judiciary and one selected by public tender, under the terms of the Law. OHA/TED/NIC
