Cabinda - Seven thousand and 216 unexploded devices were destroyed last weekend in the province of Cabinda by the National Demining Center (CND).
According to the head of the administrative section and general services of the CND in Cabinda, André Pucuta, speaking to the press today, among the war material demolished in the Ntumba regency, there are anti-tank mines, 82-millimeter mortars, RPG-7 projectiles, RK3 hand grenades and ammunition of various calibers.
The source explained that the said devices were collected on the perimeter of the Chinese company HFC UNINDUSTRIAL and in the vicinity of the Malongo oil field.
He informed that from January to date, the National Demining Center (CND) in Cabinda, clarified more than 900 million m2 of land that were handed over to the authorities for the implementation of various projects.
The province of Cabinda has an estimated population of more than 800 thousand inhabitants, spread over four municipalities: Belize, Buco-Zau, Cacongo and Sede. ING/JFC/JL/DOJ
