Luanda – The Angolan ambassador to the United States of America (USA), Joaquim do Espírito Santo, last Tuesday in Washington DC received the declaration of the Hampton Angola Day proclamation.
The information comes on a note released by the Angolan Ambassasdor to the USA, who also revealed that the proclamation declaration was handed by the Mayor of Hampton,
Donnie Tuck.
The note states also that the handover took place during a courtesy meeting made by the mayor to the embassy.
With the proclamation, reads the press note, henceforth, on August 27th it will be celebrated the Angola Day in Hampton.
On the occasion, ambassador Joaquim do Espírito Santo thanked the homage and hailed the friendship and cooperation ties that exist between both countries.
Angola and the USA signed in the year 2010 an agreement of strategic partnership and cooperation in various domains.
Angola is the third main trade partner of the United States in sub-Sahara Africa, mainly due to the export of crude-oil.
