Saurimo - President João Lourenço left the eastern province of Lunda Sul after two days of work marked by the inauguration of the new ring road, in addition to meeting with the local government council.
The ring road has the characteristics of a highway, with a length of 39 kilometers, two lanes of 12 meters each, roundabouts, shoulders and four bridges over the Candembe, Nhama, Txahungo and Luari rivers.
With a budget of over 40 billion kwanzas, it was built near the Chicapa River, passing through the National Road 180, Saurimo/Luena, continuing to the head of the Deolinda Rodrigues Airport, connecting the Saurimo/Muconda road.
The meeting of the Local Government Council evaluated the progress of infrastructure construction throughout the country, with the participation, for the first time, of 21 provincial governors.
During the visit, the Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, inspected the progress of the construction of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of the Lueji A'Nkonde University in this region.
The campus of the Lueji A'Nkonde University, with a capacity of 2,350 students, has a physical execution of about 95%. AFL/ART/TED/AMP
