Luanda - President João Lourenço arrived in Luanda on Saturday after a 48-hour state visit to France at the invitation of his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.
At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, was greeted by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa.
In Paris, at the beginning of his visit on Thursday, João Lourenço had a private meeting with the French President and participated in official talks.
The Angolan Head of State was also received by the President of the French National Assembly, Braun-Pivet, and participated in an official dinner in his honor, where he delivered a speech.
João Lourenço was awarded by Emmanuel Macron with the highest distinction of the French State, the "Officer's Cross of the French Legion of Honor".
On Friday, the last day of his visit, João Lourenço inaugurated the Angola-France Economic Forum, where he reaffirmed his country's openness to all types of investors, and visited the Waste Treatment and Reuse Plant in Paris.
João Lourenço granted several audiences to various personalities from the world of business and international diplomacy, in particular to the Secretary General of La Francophonie, Louise Mushkiwabo.
Separately, Lourenço held talks with businessman Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of the French multinational TotalEnergies, Alstom vice-president Philippe Delleur and Bouygues Group executive vice-president Cristophe Petit.
The Angolan President also received the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Josef Sikela, the Vice-President of the Airbus Executive Board for the International Area, Wouter Van Wersch, the President of Meteo France International (MFI), Patrick Benichou, and the Managing Director of ARQUUS, Emmanuel Levacher.
