Luanda - A total of five new ambassadors with non-resident status presented their letters of credentials to the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, in Luanda on Wednesday.
In the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace, President João Lourenço received the letters of credentials of the Ambassador of Peru, José Javier Shaw, 59 years old, who has held the same position in France, Spain, Argentina and Russia, and currently resides in Pretoria, South Africa.
The list includes the Ambassador of South Sudan, Simon Duke Michel, who also resides in Pretoria. Simon Duke Michel has been a diplomat for 17 years and has served in Uganda and Burundi.
On separate occasions, the Angolan statesman also accredited the heads of the diplomatic missions of Belarus, Lhar Marshalau, 51 years old, with extensive professional experience in the field of finance, from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Neem Ullah Khan, resident in Rwanda, who has already worked in Spain, Cuba, Argentina and Canada.
Qatari Ambassador Mubarak Bin Al-Khalifa, a 26-year diplomat with experience in Libya and Georgia, and a resident of Pretoria, South Africa, was also accredited.
The President of the Republic held private meetings with each of the diplomats for about 15 minutes.
