Luanda - Parliament Speaker Carolina Cerqueira Tuesday in Luanda urged the members of National Assembly to do more work for the wellbeing of the people and the country.
Cerqueira was speaking to the press prior to leave for coastal Cuanza Sul province for a few-hour visit to assess the conditions of the institution.
In her brief speech, the Speaker called on the members to make a greater effort to prove that they meet the expectations and wishes of the population.
"This is the first time that we are going to monitor the state of the provincial branches of the National Assembly. We want to conduct a diagnosis to improve the functioning of the headquarters and in the provinces," she said.
In Cuanza Sul, the agenda includes a meeting with the members of the National Assembly's provincial constituency.
