Cabinda – The Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Altino dos Santos, on Monday in Cabinda assessed the degree of compliance with the combat preparation of the forces in Cabinda Military Region (RM).

During his stay in Angolan northern Cabinda province, Altino dos Santos held a meeting with the commander of the Cabinda Military Region (RM), Tukikebi Tussen dos Santos, to learn about the levels of readiness of the forces and combat preparation under the FAA General Staff program.

Lieutenant General Tukikebi dos Santos said that the visit was positive, taking into account the fulfillment of the combat preparation of the troops, for the defense of the territorial integrity of the province.

He also mentioned that it was a visit to assess the state of combat preparedness of the forces in Cabinda, the organizational state, discipline and readiness, within the scope of compliance with the guidelines of the Superior Command.

The CEMGFA held a brief meeting with the Vice-Governor of Cabinda for Technical Services and Infrastructures, during which he addressed the current political and military situation, considered stable throughout the region.

Last December, the Commander of the National Army of the Angolan Armed Forces, João Serafim Kiteculo, during his visit to Cabinda, urged the branch's personnel to increase their readiness for the challenges of the future.

For General João Kiteculo, readiness must be a permanent mission, with a view to ensuring national security and institutions.

He indicated that in the year 2024, all efforts will be directed towards increasing the capacity and readiness of the Army, in order to participate in the military defense of the nation in a dignified manner, in collaboration with other branches such as the National Air Force and the National Navy, in guaranteeing territorial integrity, democracy, freedom and security of the populations and the nacional.PL/VIC/DOJ
