Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, as of Wednesday, August 9, will carry out a working visit to the provinces of Huíla and Cunene, with the aim of learning about the development and projects underway in that southern region.
The information was disclosed Tuesday, in Luanda, by Luís Fernando, the President’s Press secretary.
According to him, the statesman's trip to the south of the country will have the Province of Huíla as the first stage, where the Head of State will work between Wednesday (9) and Thursday (10).
He informed that, João Lourenço's first day of work will take place in the municipality of Lubango, starting with a meeting with the provincial government of Huíla and the following day he will be present at the Municipalities Forum, as well as at the opening of the 4th edition of the Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola, which will expose the potential of the country's 164 municipalities.
On Thursday, the statesman is to leave for Cunene Province where he will have contact, fundamentally, with projects of the Ministry of Energy and Water linked to dealing with questions related to the drought and its harmful effects on the economy and the daily lives of the populations.
